This specimen was lot 33741 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "France: Louis XVIII 5 Francs 1824-M MS64+ PCGS, Toulouse mint. A coin which possesses a fantastically gem appearance, with only a tiny stray mark of contact or two to keep it just shy of that designation." This type was struck 1816-24 in large quantities (104 million total). This specimen, from the Toulouse mint, is a slightly scarce date. It is priced[2] about 25% more than the common date (1824-A or 1824-W).

Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, 37 mm diameter, edge lettered DOMINE SALVUM FAC REGEM. Designed by Auguste François Michaut, 1786-1879.

Recorded mintage: 1,587,500[2].
