Shown is a cinquième d'écu aux branches d'olivier ("fifth écu with olive wreath") struck at the Rouen mint (mintmark "B") during the reign of Louis XV of France. The fifth écu was the ancien régime version of a twenty cent piece tho never struck in sufficient numbers to really convert France to a decimal currency.

Recorded mintage: not listed in Droulers but listed in the SCWC, likely quite scarce.

Specification: 5.89 g, 0.917 fine silver, reeded edge, designed by J.-C. Röettiers.

Catalog reference: Dr/4 № 840 (unlisted date), Dr/2 № 581, KM 482.3, Dupl-1676; Gad-313; L4L 481.
