This specimen was lot 53697 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "BELGIUM. Flander[s]. Groat, ND (1467-74). Bruges Mint. Charles the Bold. PCGS AU-58. From the Jerome S. Reznick Collection." The death of Charles the Rash in 1477 left only a daughter to inherit. Her marriage to Maximilian of Austria allowed the county to pass to the Spanish Hapsburgs.
