This specimen was lot 75354 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Groat (2 Pence), ND (1546-47). Bristol Mint; mm: WS. Henry VIII. PCGS EF-45. Obverse: Crowned facing bust; Reverse: Long cross fourchee. From the Richard August Collection." The third coinage of Henry VIII was repeatedly debased and ended only 4 oz (0.333) fine. Halfgroats were struck at London, Southwark, Bristol, Canterbury and York. On this example, the mintmark is in the legend above the shield.
