This specimen was lot 71695 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "EL SALVADOR. 25 Colones, 1977. Llantrisant Mint. NGC MS-66. Commemorating the 18th annual Governors' assembly of the Central American bank, this example features no distracting marks, a full strike and brilliant luster on untoned surfaces." This NCLT commemorating an event of breathless insignificance was accompanied by a gold 250 colones (KM 152) which is actually more often seen.

Recorded mintage: 2,000 plus 20,000 proofs.

Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver.
