This specimen was part of lot 3816 in Goldberg sale 70 (Los Angeles, September 2012), where it sold for $2,243. The catalog description[1] noted, "Salvador. 200, 100, 50 and 25 Colones, 1971. Fr-6-9; KM-143-146. Total weight 1.2801 ounces. On the 150th Anniversary of Independence. Lot of 4 coins. Choice Brilliant Proof." This type was issued in sets as noted along with a silver one colon (KM 141) and five colones.
