This type was struck for El Salvador 1892-1914. It is fairly common in circulated condition and is accompanied by silver five, ten, twenty and fifty centavos. This specimen was lot 72132 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $1,116.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "EL SALVADOR. Peso, 1893/2-CAM. NGC MS-61. Fully white with attractive luster. NGC MS-61. Provenance: From the Richard Stuart Collection." The overdate obtains a slight premium over the regular date.
