El Salvador 1893-CAM 50 centavos

from the Stack's Bowers 2017 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72131

This type was struck for El Salvador 1892-94. It is fairly common in circulated condition and is accompanied by silver five, ten and twenty centavos. This specimen was lot 72131 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "EL SALVADOR. 50 Centavos, 1893-CAM. PCGS AU-58 Secure Holder. Nice strike with lovely toning and strong underlying luster."
