This specimen was part of lot 40086 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $5,462. The catalog description[2] noted, "EL SALVADOR. 10 Pesos, 1892-CAM. PCGS AU-58. Low Mintage One Year Type RARE. One year type." This type and its sisters, the , five and twenty pesos, were struck in 1892 only and probably meant to be only patterns. All are rare.

Specification: 16.12 g, 0.900 fine gold, .466 troy oz AGW.
