The first specimen was lot 42585 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $35. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/4 Decimo, 1881. Bogota Mint. NGC EF-40. Crudely engraved as is normal for this date. Full details visible, medium gray toning." The second specimen was part of lot 42577 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), which sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Mixed Minors, 1873-1902. Various Mints. PCGS & NGC Certified. 6 pieces in lot. ...and 1881 1/4 Decimos, NGC AU-58. All presentable examples, untoned to lightly toned. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck 1868-71 and 1881.
