Colombia 1880-B 5 centavos

The first specimen was lot 1738 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "COLOMBIA: Republic, AR 5 centavos, 1880. NGC graded MS66. Tied for finest known at NGC." The Bogotá mint struck five centavos 1875-85 and its product is listed fairly cheaply in the SCWC but, like many Colombian minors, is seldom seen in nice condition.

Recorded mintage: 44,000.

Specification: 1.25 g, 0.666 fine silver, .026 troy oz ASW.
