Colombia 1880-B 10 centavos
This specimen was part of lot 44373 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Lot of (6) 10 Centavos, 1878-1897. Bogota Mint. AU Detail--Cleaned, AU Detail--Scratch (2), EF-40, EF-45, & AU-58 (PCGS). 6 pieces in lot. Dated 1878, 1880, 1882, 1883, 1884/3 (all KM-175,1, Restrepo type 273), and 1897 (KM-188, Restrepo-373.1). Includes 1878 PCGS Genuine-Cleaned, AU Detail, which is well struck and gray toned with very minor evidence of cleaning, and 1897 PCGS AU-58 which is boldly struck and attractively toned. Remainder untoned with most details visible. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Bogota 1874-84 and is common.
