This specimen was lot 44301 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $25. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 10 Centavos, 1872. Bogota Mint. FINE-12 (PCGS). Even wear, bold legends, and gray tonin. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This the first Colombian dime denominated as a ten centavos; previous issues, including KM 151.1 of 1868-72, had been décimos. This type of 1872-74 is fairly common.
Recorded mintage: 133,000 (including KM 151.1).
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.835 fine silver.
