This type was struck 1823-36 at Popayán and 1823-25 at Bogotá. This type is fairly common. This specimen was lot 40345 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1836-RU Escudo. Popayán mint. AU-58 (PCGS). Struck in medal alignment. Fully lustrous over frosty light yellow gold surfaces. The portrait on this date is exceptionally crude, and the obverse die shows a rough, crude texture. An impressive specimen with the look of a Mint State piece. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Gebura & Co., March 1982."
