This specimen was lot 44095 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $2,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/2 Real, 1835-RS. Bogota Mint. MS-62 (PCGS). Restrepo lists as 'rare'. Blast white with bold strike and full luster. An attractive example with gem quality. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Bogotá 1833-35 and Popayan 1834-36.
