This specimen was lot 23585 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "People's Republic gold 1/2 Ounce 1982 Panda, MS69 PCGS, essentially a perfect coin with deeply mirrored surfaces." This, the first panda, lacked a denomination, so is classed as a medal.
