China 1982 yuan KM-58

Stack's Bowers April 2021 Hong Kong sale, lot 54133

This specimen was lot 54133 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $115. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CHINA. Brass Yuan, 1982. PCGS PROOF-68 Deep Cameo Gold Shield. Struck to commemorate World Cup Soccer. A brilliant Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." The regular copper-nickel yuan (KM 18) was also struck in 1982.
