Chile 1974 100 escudos

The specimen shown is a type struck in Chile 1974-75 only. It is the only issue of this denomination. It is worthless in all grades. Oscar Roty's defiant condor appears on the obverse. The escudo superseded the peso in 1960, with one escudo = 1000 pesos.

Recorded mintage: 32,100,000.

Specification: 5.01 g, nickel-brass, 23.5 mm diameter.
