This specimen was lot 31233 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carlos IV 4 Reales 1794 So-DA, AU50 NGC. Attractively toned with deep blue flashes on the reverse. The bust details are well-struck, and abundant mint luster resides in the legends. Scarce grade for this denomination." This type was issued from Santiago 1792-1808 and, tho not common, is much less rare than preceding types. This specimen was lot 874 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 38 (Winter Park, FL, November 2025), where it sold for $4,200.
