This specimen was lot 23350 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "CEYLON. 10 Cents, 1926. London Mint. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. Pop: 2, none graded finer by PCGS. A boldly struck and softly lustrous coin with medium gray toning." This type was struck 1919-28 and is not rare. It is lower in fineness than the previous type (KM 104) struck until 1917. It was converted to nickel-brass in 1944. Ceylon, famous for tea, attained its independence in 1948 after the British left India and is now known as Sri Lanka.
