This specimen was lot 27665 in Heritage sale 3031 (Dallas, January 2014), where it sold for $2,585. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Proof Cent 1926, PF66 BN NGC. An exquisite Proof Cent. Two tone color and mark free fields. An almost never encountered type." The SCWC notes this for 1912-29 and all dates are common but the proofs are rare.

Recorded mintage: 3,750,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 4.7 g, copper, 22.4 mm diameter.
