This copper coin was issued from Barcelona during the French occupation for use there and in Catalonia. In the local currency, eight ochavos made a sueldo and six sueldos made a peseta and five pesetas made one peso. It was struck 1813 only and is not listed as rare tho not priced above Very Fine. Cayón lists this for 1810 only even tho the plate coin therein is an 1813. The last local Catalan issue is a rare six quartos dated 1848.
