This specimen was lot 72391 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 250 Dollars (Silver Kilo), 2008. Elizabeth II. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. 2010 Vancouver Olympics series: Towards Confederation. Featuring a kilo of silver, this highly impressive proof issue yields tremendous frosting to the devices and exceptionally mirrored fields. Not often encountered, and a great Olympic-related commemorative." This is the first Canadian coin of this denomination that we've seen.

Recorded mintage: 2,500.

Specification: 1000 g, 0.999 fine silver, 101.6 mm diameter.
