This specimen was lot 42408 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 200 Dollars, 2008. NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Struck to commemorate Commerce and Agriculture Trade. A nearly flawless representative from a mintage of only 1,951 pieces. .4717 oz AGW." The profits extracted from the manufacture and sale of NCLT's caused the Royal Canadian Mint to scramble for ever more arcane topics, including this one honoring the farmers who broke the sod of the prairies.
