This specimen was lot 42407 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 2 Dollars, 2000. ANACS PROOF-68 HEAVY CAMEO. A visually captivating bi-metallic issue (largely comprised of gold and silver), illustrating a mother and her two cubs as a representation of the transfer of knowledge from older generations to younger ones."

Recorded mintage: 1,500 in base metal plus 39,768 in bimetallic silver/gold and 5,881 in gold.

Specification: KM 399a: 8.52 g, 28 mm diameter, silver/gold, .1858 oz AGW.
