This specimen was lot 70304 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 25 Cents, 1946. NGC MS-65. Brilliant luster, attractive purplish toning developing on the reverse." This type was struck for George VI 1937-47 and this is a fairly common date. In 1948, "ET IND IMP" was dropped from the obverse legend (KM 44) and the modified type was issued 1948-52. Silver was removed from the quarter in 1968.
