This specimen was lot 26311 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $223.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI 25 Cents 1945, MS65 ICCS, fully white with satiny luster. From The Nikita Collection." This type was struck for George VI 1937-47 and this is a common date. In 1948, "ET IND IMP" was dropped from the obverse legend (KM 44) and the modified type was issued 1948-52. Silver was removed from the quarter in 1968.

Recorded mintage: 5,296,495.

Specification: 5.83 g, 0.800 fine silver, .150 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
