Canada 1934 50 cents

from the Stack's Bowers 2025 ANA sale, lot 46202

This specimen was lot 46202 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CANADA. 50 Cents, 1934. Ottawa Mint. George V. PCGS AU-50." This type was struck 1920-21 and 1929-36 and superseded KM 25, struck 1912-19, which was 0.925 fine silver. This is a scarce date; only the 1929 and 1936 are reasonably common.

Recorded mintage: 39,539.

Specification: 11.66 g, 0.800 fine silver, 29.72 mm diameter.
