Canada issued silver five cent pieces 1858-1921. In 1920, the coin was debased from .925 to 0.800 fine, then in 1921 it was converted to a nickel piece very similar to the U. S. five cent coin. This specimen was lot 4129 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $109.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. 5 Cents, 1914. George V. Toned. NGC graded MS-62." This date is somewhat scarce.

Recorded mintage: 4,202,179.

Specification: 1.16 grams, 0.925 fine silver, reeded edge.
