This specimen was lot 33380 in Heritage sale 3114 (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $840. The lot description[1] noted, "Canada. George V 5 Cents 1912 MS66 PCGS, Ottawa mint. Convincingly Gem, yet defined by its exquisite rainbow patination and russet patches, this is one of the more exotic examples of this type that we've ever handled." This type was struck 1912-19 and no date is rare in circulated condition altho the 1912 is a better date. In 1920, the five cents was reduced to 0.800 fine silver and then converted to nickel in 1922.

Recorded mintage: 5,863,170.

Specification: 1.16 grams, 0.925 fine silver, 15.5 mm diameter, reeded edge.
