This specimen was lot 33444 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $4,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada: Victoria 50 Cents 1899 AU53 PCGS, London mint." This type is notoriously difficult to find in nice condition despite being minted in respectable numbers 1870-1901. This date is scarce in all grades.

Specification: 11.66 g, 0.925 fine silver, .300 troy oz ASW, 29.7 mm diameter.
