This specimen is a somewhat better date of a type struck in London and Birmingham for Canada 1858 and 1870-1901. This specimen was lot 4123 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. 5 Cents, 1892. Victoria. Lovely deep toning. NGC graded Uncirculated, Details (Obverse Scratched)."
Recorded mintage: 860,000.
Specification: 1.16 grams, 0.925 fine silver, reeded edge.
