This specimen was lot 1113 in Ponterio sale 173 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,528. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 50 Cents, 1892. PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, AU Details Secure Holder. Portrait H4." This type is notoriously difficult to find in nice condition despite being minted in respectable numbers 1870-1901.

Recorded mintage: 151,000.

Specification: 11.62 g, 0.925 fine silver, .3456 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
