This specimen was lot 70312 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 10 Cents, 1888. PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder. Very appealing blue, green and red toning over lustrous surfaces with a lovely cartwheel effect and great eye appeal. A real treat for the collector of Canadian numismatics." This type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901.
Recorded mintage: 500,000, a common date.
Specification: 2.32 g, 0.925 fine silver, .069 troy oz ASW, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
