This specimen was lot 23333 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $4,700. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 10 Cents 1889, XF45 PCGS, medium gray and gold patina, fully original, an attractive example of this key date. Very rare and desirable in this premium quality." The type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901. Despite the ample mintage, this date is rare.

Specification: 2.32 g, 0.925 fine silver, .069 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
