This specimen was lot 30271 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $930. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada, Victoria 5 Cents 1881-H MS65 NGC, Heaton mint. Among the absolute finest examples of its date that have been certified, this blast white gem exudes charm and quality at every turn, revealing voluminous frost over fields and devices having experienced a tremendous care of preservation for nearly a century and a half. Dressed in light silvery tone, with the strike bordering on full and leaving ample detail for appreciation." This type was struck 1858 and 1870-1901 in substantial quantities and most dates are fairly plentiful up to Extremely Fine.

Recorded mintage: 1,500,000.

Specification: 1.16 g, 0.925 fine silver, .034 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
