This specimen was lot 2059 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "BUNDI: Ram Singh, 1824-1889, AR square nazarana rupee, 1858/VS1915, in the name of Queen Victoria, VF to EF, ex Paul Stevens Collection." The nazarana rupee appears to be the square version of the ordinary rupee which was also struck during this potentate's reign. Bundi is surrounded by Gwalior, Kotah and Mewar. This type is listed for 1858, 1862, 1868 and 1872-80.
