This specimen was lot 41307 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen, 1773-LCR. Zellerfeld Mint. Karl I. PCGS AU-58. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1735-80 and is common in circulated condition. A 24 mariengroschen with a leaping stallion reverse (KM 895) was struck 1736-80 and is slightly more expensive. This denomination was worth two-thirds thaler at the start of the duke's reign but had slipped to half a thaler by the end.
