This specimen was lot 55544 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 12 Mariengroschen, 1746-IBH. Zellerfeld Mint. Karl I. PCGS AU-53. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1735-80 for Karl I and is common. Twelve mariengroschen made one-third of a thaler or half a gulden. Mintmaster IBH appears 1739-62.
