This specimen was lot 74480 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1713-HH. Zellerfeld Mint; mm: crossed axes between HH. Anton Ulrich. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Dav-344; KM-685; Welter-2309. This example offers a well-defined details in the obverse wild man design and a pleasing obverse luster. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." Anton Ulrich ruled alone after his brother's death in 1704; this type was struck 1705-14.
