This specimen was lot 73634 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Wolfenbuttel. 1/4 Taler, "60" (1560). Goslar Mint. Heinrich "the Younger". PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details. A rare and early example of the Wild Man motif. This coin exhibits argent surfaces, clear details, and strong legends. Only light wear is noted, commensurate with the grade. Attractive even with the light cleaning. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1555-68 and undated. It is not expensive in worn condition.
