This specimen was lot 4178 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,926 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, AB 1692 KURFÜRSTENTUM HANNOVER, AB 1815 KÖNIGREICH HANNOVER Georg Wilhelm, 1648-1665. Löser zu 1 1/4 Reichstalern 1661, Zellerfeld. Ohne Wertpunze. Ohne Wertpunze sehr selten. Winz. Randfehler, sehr schön. (duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg, George William, 1648-65, 1¼ thaler of 1661, Zellerfeld mint, without value punched in. Very rare without punch mark, edge defects, very fine.)"
Georg Wilhelm was promoted to duke of Brunswick-Luneburg-Celle on the death of his brother Christian Ludwig in 1665 and he ruled in Celle until 1705. The SCWC mentions this thaler with the value punched in as KM 74.
