This specimen was lot 4005 in Goldberg sale 41 (Beverly Hills, May 2007), where it sold for $1,437.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Brandenburg-Ansbach. Ducat, 1630. Friedrich II, Albrecht & Christian, 1625-1634. Obv. Three brothers within beaded circle, date and shield below. Leg: D.G. FRID:ALB:CHRIST.FR.MARCH:BRAND:DVCES.-. Reverse: Decorated cartouche, 12 divisions, arms within beaded circle. Leg: *PRVSS:ST:POM:CAS:VAN:IAG:BVRG:I:- NVRN:P:R: NGC graded AU-55. A popular type because of the three portraits found together. The three brothers ruled jointly, but not overly effectively." This type is known for 1625-32.
