Brandenburg-Ansbach 1624 ducat Fr-319
This specimen was lot 6495 in Künker sale 336 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €3,800 (about US$4,973 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG IN FRANKEN, BRANDENBURG-ANSBACH, MARKGRAFSCHAFT, Joachim Ernst, 1603-1625. Dukat 1624 (Jahreszahl im Stempel aus 1623 geändert), Fürth. GOLD. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach, Joachim Ernest, 1603-25, ducat of 1624/3, Furth mint. Very scarce in this condition, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1609, 1619-24 along with a goldgulden (KM 10).
