This specimen was lot 197 in Aureo y Calicó sale 448 (Barcelona, March 2025), where it sold for 7,250 € (about US$9,471 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "1641. Felipe IV. Antwerp. 2 sovereigns. Obv.: PHIL·IIII·D·G·HISP·ET·INDIAR·REX·16(mm)41·. Rev.: ·ARCHID·AVST·DV-X·BVRG·BRAB·Zc. Very nice. Original luster. Graded by NGC as MS62, no. 6771175-003. Top Pop. Rare, especially in this condition. We have had only one other example. EBC+ [choice extremely fine]. Ex Aureo 03/06/1996, no. 319. Ex Colección Velázquez 04/25/2019, no. 632." This type is recorded for 1637-47 from the Brussels and Antwerp mints (shown here).
