Bolivia 1816-PTS PJ 4 reales

This is an example of a type struck 1816-25 at Potosi, Bolivia (then called Upper Peru). It superseded the bust of Carlos IV. Assayer PJ is recorded for 1803-24. This is listed as a common type, cheaper than Ferdinand VII four reales from Peru or Mexico, but this is the first one we have located for the Wiki. The mint was in the hands of the Argentine rebels 1810-13 and no royalist coinage was struck in that time.
