This specimen was lot 1549 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA: Fernando VII, 1808-1825, AR 2 reales, 1816, assayer PJ, uneven light tone, About Unc." This is an example of a type struck 1808-09 and 1813-25 at Potosi, Bolivia (then called Upper Peru). It is a slightly better date of its type. Harris[2] notes that Potosi two reales of Ferdinand VII are the third commonest mint after Mexico City and Lima.
