Künker sale 354, lot 5353

This specimen was lot 5353 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €260 (about US$362 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BAYERN, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH, Ludwig II. 1864-1886. Gulden 1864. Fast Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Bavaria, Louis II, 1864-86, gulden of 1864. About uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1864-66. Some gulden were struck for Maximilian II in 1864.

Recorded mintage: 414,357 including KM 826 for Maximilian II.

Specification: 10.6 g, 0.900 fine silver, this specimen 10.57 g.
