This specimen was lot 29482 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $2,702.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bavaria. Ludwig II Goldgulden ND (1864) MS63 NGC. Extremely choice, with superb details atop satiny, golden surfaces. A wonderful example of rare coinage from the city of Würzburg, highly appealing and seldom encountered." The SCWC has relegated this to its volume on Unusual World Coins.
