This specimen is one of a type struck at the Royal Mint for the Bahamas 1974-2005. In 1974 the bust of the queen was dropped in favor of the arms of the Bahamas. The Franklin Mint produced the proofs 1971-85. Two bonefish swim across the reverse.
Recorded mintage: 2,000,000 plus 1,217 proofs.
Specification: 5.13 g, copper-nickel, 23.5 mm diameter.
